Boot and Reboot a Gateway

A gateway must be correctly powered on and off. The power cable should not be plugged out to power down the gateway. This is an ungraceful shutdown, which is when a gateway loses power without notice. Similar to unplugging a computer directly from the outlet.

 

Boot up a Gateway:

  1. Plug in the power cable to the gateway.

  2. Press on the ON/OFF button (with a pointy object) until you hear an audible beep.

  3. Then, remove the object and the gateway is powered on.

Reboot a Gateway:

  1. Press the ON/OFF button (with a pointy object) until PWR LED turns off.

  2. Wait for 5 seconds.

  3. Now, press the ON/OFF button until an audible beep is heard.

  4. The gateway has successfully rebooted.
