Dashboard APIs and Methods have been optimized to reduce dashboard load times.

Date and Time selection field

Date and Time entry/selection fields behavior has been improved. User can type in the text box to enter date and time, as well as click on the Calendar icon to select.

Bug Fix

Remove Cancel button and Reposition Title in center

Pop up message no longer has Cancel button, instead it will have a cross icon on the top right. Title of the pop-up message is fixed to align it in the center. Areas impacted: Asset Template, List of Template and Custom Dashboard Template.

Confirmation message in Associate Signal and Check box in Event Log

A confirmation message was being displayed without the user saving a calculated signal in the Associate Signals page. Issue has been fixed.

Checkbox behavior in Event Log has been fixed.

Pop-up message prior to deleting location with and without associated signals was changed.

Delete button in reports becomes visible after user starts clicking on checkbox only. Individual delete can still be done through actions button.

Custom dashboards will adjust dynamically ensuring a consistent and usable layout.

Range Selector - Trend Chart

Range selector was not visible due to a lighter secondary color. The issue has been fixed. The fix implemented will now allow contrasting in case of a lighter secondary color.

Trend Chart - Fixed Sort Order

Trend chart sort order box was responding to mouse scroll actions and accidentally increasing the order. The fixed sort order box will only accept keyboard, or the scroll arrow inputs, and not a mouse scroll.

• Drop down icon placement fixed.

• Save and Cancel button placement fixed.

• Widget sizing glitch fixed.

Load Time Improvement

Sensor List - The load times of the sensor list has been improved significantly. Previously sensor list would take about 15 - 20 seconds to load the initial page. Additionally, changing pages and number of items per page would again take the same amount of time. All of this has been improved significantly, and the pages now load in under 3 seconds.

Event Log - Event Log load time has also been improved significantly. The load times have decreased to 1/4th of what it used to take previously.

Multiple sections in the Desktop UI required attention:

1. Address 2 - Address 2 was a required field. It is now changed to optional.

2. Geo Fence in Location Details - Text Box Height and Alignment fix.

3. Organization Details - Image Upload cross icon fixed.

4. Page Identifier - Paginated list page identifier will reflect primary color.

5. Secondary color - Secondary color changes were not saving; issue has been fixed.

6. Signals/Gateways - Button design in Associate Signals page has been fixed.

Initial Loading

Previously, the loading icon in the VoM Cloud was a spinning icon. One issue with this icon was a user wouldn’t know if the screen is still loading or if it has timed out. The spinning icon has now been replaced with a Progress Bar. This gives a user more visibility on the page load times.

Languages - Change loading from DB to JSON file

VoM Cloud supports 6 languages. Every translation occurring in the Cloud was being done by inserting the page labels in the DB. This required an API to be called whenever a page got changed. This approach has been replaced by a JSON file in the front end.

Update VoM Applicaion from Angular 8 to 9.1.13. This allows us to use the latest frameworks, performance optimizations, and bug fixes while keeping the application up to date.

Sensor Details Pop Up - Tob Tab

The top tab in the sensor details pop up would show as empty for Battery and Signal Chart for sensors without a signal. Additionally, the top tab didn’t align properly. Both issues have been fixed.

Alerts - Baseline and Exclude Below/Above

Multiple issues reported with event log populating with values in the Baseline and Exclude ranges. The issue has been fixed.

Pagination

Sensor and Gateway lists have been paginated. This aids for a quicker initial load of the list. Additionally:

1. The list will initially show 10 items and users can navigate to Previous or Next pages, as well as by clicking on the Page Number.

2. Users can also change the number of items to be displayed (10, 25, 50, 100 items per page).

3. Users can search for specific sensors and gateways by typing in the Search bar and clicking the Search icon or pressing Enter in their keyboard.

4. Users can sort any table column to sort their results.

5. Users can click on the refresh icon to get the latest status information of their devices. This negates them from having to refresh the entire browser page.

Trend Chart - Decimal Digits

Users can now change the number of decimal digits for their signal values to be displayed in their trend charts. When configuring or editing a trend chart, a new toggle button has been added called Decimal Digits.

1. Toggling this option to On will add a new column in the signal selection table called Decimals. Toggling it Off will hide the column.

2. Users can add a numerical value between 0 and 5.

3. If the field is left blank, the default value will still be 2.

4. If user enters anything apart from 2, it will reflect the changes after saving in the trend chart.

Issue identified when trying to associate a VOM-Relay signal. The bug has been fixed and deployed in production.

Some VOM-Relay signals associated in the asset level, were not showing up when configuring a widget in a dashboard. The bug has been fixed and deployed in production.

Trend Chart Annotations - UI fixes

The issues identified below with Annotations has been fixed.

1. Table design had some minor border issues.

2. Table was overflowing outer frame without any entries.

3. Table wasn’t scaling properly based on the number of entries.

Annotations were not being placed at the correct points in the graph even though user was selecting correct date and time. The bug has been fixed and deployed to production.

Trend Chart - Baseline Value

If there is no baseline value set up in an alert, it won’t be displayed in a trend chart. Previously, if there was no baseline, the chart would still display as Baseline: 0.

Trend Chart - Annotations (BETA)

Users can now create annotations in trend charts. This is a beta version that is currently available to the following users.

User Roles: Creator, Distributor, and Admin have access to this feature
Feature:

1. In a Full Screen Trend Chart, the above-mentioned users can now see an icon in the top right called Annotations. Clicking on this icon will switch the trend charts into an annotatable view. Scrolling down on the screen will show the Add Annotations option as well as a table.

2. Users can click on the Add Annotations button, and this will bring up a pop-up to add a Title and Description, set it as a Favorite, select specific Signal and the date and time.

3. After creating and saving an annotation, users will see the annotations in the chart as a small, circular red icon. Hovering over this icon will show the details of the annotation. It populates the Signal Name, Signal Value and Date/Time by default as well as shows the title and description you entered.

4. The annotations will also be visible in the table below. This will show all the annotations based on what range the chart is set to be viewed.

5. The annotations can also be exported using the Export button.

6. Annotations can be deleted one at a time with the Actions > Delete option or multiple by checking the checkbox and clicking on the Delete button.

7. To exit out of the annotation window, click on the Annotation icon again.

Notes:

1. Favorited annotations are visible when the chart is scaled for 1 Day or anything greater than 1 day. Whereas non-favorited annotations are visible only in the 1 Day range. These can be changed by enabling/disabling the favorite icon from the table OR also by editing the annotation.

2. If you select a date and time where there is no signal value, a message will show with the nearest signal value reported closest to the time you entered. This will show you two values, the nearest before and the nearest after.

Primary Color Issue

Primary color of organization wasn’t changing when navigating to different organization. Latency was also seen. The bug has been fixed.

The gateway cellular signal chart was showing a Response Code error and wasn’t displaying the cellular signal values in the chart. The bug has been fixed.

Some drop downs were editable in a view only mode, spaces on the left of texts inside drop downs was removed, and left/right scroll arrow design in view mode was changed.

Shipping - Pop Up Not Displaying

A pop-up message in the Shipping section after clicking ‘Done’ was not displaying. The bug has been fixed, and now the pop-up is displaying as expected.

Removed offline Crimp Count sensors from PCM that hadn’t reported after February 2023 (after the certificate update).

Button text in PCM was not contrasting based on some primary color selections in PCM. The fix has been pushed.

Browser Back Button

Browser back button functionality has been implemented all across PCM. Users can now use the back button to navigate back to previous or next page using the back and forward buttons of their browsers.

Improved Navigation

Clicking on the organization tab, when inside a location within a sub-organization, navigated a user all the way back to the parent organization list. This has been fixed, so that the user can perform an accurate one-step back navigation. The user will first get navigated to the sub-organization list, and if the organization tab is clicked, then they will be navigated to the parent organization list.

Quotes - PO Number and PO Date

New column in Quotes list page added that displays the PO Date. New text box PO Date is displayed next to the PO Number text box after a quote has been accepted and saved.

GPS Receiver State - Cellular Sensor Behavior

The GPS Receiver State option for cellular sensors was not working as designed. Issue: Upon toggling the state to ‘On’, the sensor sent three data payloads in the span of 5 minutes with the location data. Then the sensor wouldn’t report for an hour. Fix: Once the state is toggled ‘On’ the sensor will send one payload right after it was toggled ‘On’. Then it will send the remaining two payloads in the default 20 minutes interval of the sensor.

The GPS Receiver State has a default value of 3. A value between 1 and 7 can be entered in the field. 3 is the optimal default value so that the sensor battery doesn’t get drained and can still provide an accurate data.

Grant Guest Access - Pop Up - UI Changes

Drop down selection for selecting organization when granting guest access was shifted below. This gives more length for the drop down to display the list of organizations and clearer for users to see which organizations they are selecting.

Signal Time-Table - Data Reporting Delay

Signal Time-Table widget when initially designed had a 2-minute delay hardcoded. The delay has been removed and the widget is now reporting real time data.

Quotes and Shipping

After the UI Refresh for Quotes and Shipping was pushed, there were a few areas where text was overlapping, installation country wasn't changing based on the location selected when creating new quote, and text boxes weren’t displaying information properly. The fixes for these issues have been pushed.

Exclude Below/Above - Status

After setting an Exclude Below or Above option in the Alerts Configuration, the dashboard was reflecting a Critical or Warning status when the range was in the Exclude Below or Above range. The change has been made where the status will not show the status icon when a value is in the exclude above or below range.

Grant Guest Access - All users showing

Admin user role could see all users present in PCM when granting guest access. Fix has been pushed where an Admin (or higher user role) will only see other users that are under their Home and Guest Organization when granting guest access.

User Interface - Minor Changes

Some sections in PCM still had older application design. Mainly in widget configuration windows: button design, toggle button design, and table design. These have been updated to match the newer design.

Nominal Alerts - User Preferences

A new option to select Nominal Alert under User Preferences > Notifications has been added. Users can select this alert option, to receive an alert when the alert values of their signals return to the Nominal/Baseline zone from a Warning or Critical zone. The default settings for this alert is unchecked. User would have to check the box and Save their preferences to receive the nominal alerts notification. Currently, only email alerts are available for the Nominal Alerts.

Reports - Organizational Access

Reports created were visible in different organizations. The bug has been fixed where the Report is only visible in the organization it is created under.

Custom Dashboard Template

The Custom Dashboard Template tool has been released to all users. The changes from the initial development release are:

1. Minimum size specified for each widget for proper data visualization.

2. Improved resolution issues.

3. Users can delete custom created templates.

4. Template is still flexible to the extent that users can place widgets anywhere. When the widgets aren’t extended all the way to the right, there will be spaces seen in the final template.

NOTE: Previously created custom templates might run into issues loading. Majority of those have been fixed from the Parker side. If there are any dashboards that were created using a custom template prior to the release, recreating the custom template and the dashboard will fix the issue.

Column charts weren’t loading and timing out. The fix has been pushed.

New User Role - Parker Admin

New user role has been added in the VOM Cloud. The user role is Parker Admin which is only visible to Parker users. Any Parker user with the Parker Admin role will have:

1. Admin rights to their home organization and its sub-organizations.

2. Admin rights for distributors and its sub-levels with their sales region.

3. Access to Quotes in PCM under ICP.

Trend Chart Latency

Trend charts experienced latencies when adjusting the timeframe display range. The initial load time was longer, and when a user changed the range, it took even longer for data to be displayed. The fix has been pushed and the load times are now quicker.

‘All’ Option in Charts

Using the ‘All’ option to view data was only showing data to the last available data point. This has been adjusted so that the chart scales all the way back to when a signal was first associated in PCM that is selected to be viewed in a dashboard.

Dashboards weren’t loading and was timing out for users. The load times for the dashboards were optimized and decreased. Users are now able to see data populate on the dashboards quicker.

Clean Up Unused Resources

Telemetry data was being sent to blob storage in two ways. One from event hub and the other with the ingest function. Fix has been pushed to optimize this solution by disabling capture option in ingest event hub, and removing the code from ingest azure function that sends telemetry data.

Reports - One Time

Reports in PCM allows users to generate one-time reports by selecting date and time ranges. Creators, Admins, Distributors, and Supervisor roles in PCM can Create, Run, View, and Edit One Time Report for their sensor data. Technician role can Run and View the reports. Observer and Assembler can View the reports.
