What about the Voice of the Machine (formerly SCOUT) software has been upgraded?

Voice of the Machine will have the same basic functionality of SCOUT with many new improvements. The upgrade will empower the user to customize and view their data in a way that is most useful to them

  • 3 different browsing options: Map, Group, and List.
    • Map: Geographical interface of all assets. It will have live health indicators (red, green, and yellow). The user can click on the assets to get into more information or drill down to the individual dashboard
    • Group: Hierarchical interface of all the assets. Start with a parent group and work down to the individual asset.
    • List: All assets listed in one view. Displays all assets the user has access to for a quick view.
  • Dashboards will be fully customizable to the asset or site the user chooses.
    • Includes 10 different panel options (Improved from the 3 in SCOUT).
      • Current Value, Moon Gauge, Fill Gauge, Simple Line Chart, Complex Line Chart, Map, Image Overlay, Data Table, JSON Table, and Logs Lists.
    • Favorite a dashboard
    • Set a default dashboard to display when opening the site.
  • Ability to template an asset. Best used when creating similar assets. Dashboard, Thresholds, Location, and Transformations will be copied to the new asset too.
  • Ability to set and define role types for individual users.
  • Blackout periods are set to the individual user level. (SCOUT sets them on the overall site level)
  • Receive reports in an Excel file for the signals you choose without needing to set up a trend chart. (SCOUT only allows trend chart reports)
  • Share a public URL. This allows the ability to display on a large screen that will not timeout.
  • Ability to create dashboard with a kiosk mode in mind. Dashboard will automatically adjust to fit the screen.
  • Insights allow customers to integrate in a flexible way with a wide array of internal and external services to provide analytics, decision, and action capabilities. Using custom or third-party Insights, users can predict the remaining life of their product, iterate on artificial intelligence models, and much more. This flexibility, coupled with the ability to rapidly distribute outcomes across both fleets and customer bases, makes Insights a powerful tool for users to implement their product expertise—without code.
  • OEM customers will have an option to set up there own instance of Voice of the Machine Cloud. They can choose their own URL and customize the color scheme and add company logos.
  • User Roles are customizable. Create a role type and choose what that designed role is allowed to do.
